Terms and Conditions of Service

Please take time to read carefully, as agreeing to these terms and conditions will be our contract of service. Replying via email to [email protected], stating you agree, will confirm our contract and this will be required to proceed with the booking.

The Trial…

It’s in your best interest to have a trial to ensure we are both in agreement as to what is actually being carried out on the day of your event. I will always do my best to arrange a time and venue which suits you. Photos of the final style will be taken for reference purposes for the day.

The Booking…

Your date is not secured with me until a booking fee has been received via bank transfer or cash. This will be 50% of the service cost, which will be deducted from the final fee. Booking fees are payable a week after the trial. Any changes that are made to the arrangements by either party will need to be agreed by both participants, and may mean an updated invoice. Please let me know as soon as possible if you wish to add services for more individuals, as this will mean altering timings, arrangements and costs.

Application of hair products…

It is your responsibility to let me know of any possible skin sensitivities or allergies. I would not want to use products on the scalp or hair, that would cause irritation or worse. All people using the service need to be aware of this and let me know in advance of the appointment, if allergies are present. It’s my responsibility as a professional hairdresser to refuse service to any individual who may have a suspected condition, ( including infestations ),  which would be adversely affected by the use of hair styling products.

Refusal of service…

I reserve the right to refuse provision of services in the event I deem a situation, or the environment in which I find myself to
be unsafe and one that I feel is putting either myself and/or others at risk. Examples of this include customers who are heavily intoxicated on
alcohol and/or drugs deeming it unsafe and/or impossible to carry out a service, not just for my own safety but for that of the customer. In the event of refusing a service, you will not be eligible for a refund either or of your booking or full-service fee if this was paid prior to your booking.

Payments…

Trials are priced at £40, which is to be paid for either in advance by bank transfer, or cash on the day. If you wish to proceed with the booking after the trial, a 50%  non refundable booking fee is required within a week of the trial, also by bank transfer. You may also want to secure your date well in advance of a hair trial, in which case you will be asked to pay a 50% non refundable booking fee. The balance is to be paid in full, 6 weeks before the date of the event, also by bank transfer or cash. In the case of short notice services being needed, prices will be agreed at the trial, and full payment be made up front to secure the date.

Cancellations…

You, of course, have the right to cancel your special occasion hair appointment at any time. But please be aware of the following…

The booking fee is non-refundable unless, for some unlikely reason, I cancel the booking. In this instance, with your permission, I will endeavour to find an alternative professional colleague to carry out the service. If for some reason you cancel the booking after paying the remaining balance, (6 weeks before your event), I will retain the booking fee, and return the remainder to yourself.

Your booking is not secured unless the booking fee is paid. If another individual enquires about your preferred date, I will inform you and you will have a limited time to secure the date, by payment.

Force Majeure…

I am unable to accept any liability or pay compensation for any event classed as a Force Majeure. Force Majeure is defined as
circumstances which prevent the performance of the contract which are totally outside our control, and include but are not limited to war, threat of war,
riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, industrial action or dispute, technical problems to transport,
port closure, congestion at a port or airport, epidemic or disease.

Timings…

I will agree with you a time and venue to arrive at on the date of your event, and will always do my utmost to stick to timings. However it should be understood that occasionally there maybe circumstances beyond my control that affect the smooth running of these timings. In addition, if people are late for this service, this will also affect my time of finishing, although I will endeavour to still complete the service in a reasonable time frame. I do not book multiple events in one day, so as to be flexible, to a degree, with your requirements.

Privacy Policy…
